Once the flower blooms, Yuuka will be able to meet her (presumably, now deceased) lover. Once it scatters, they will be gone.
The spirits dwell in flowers. Again, thanks to the interpretation provided by the usual KANITAMAさん!
Kadsura in Hanakotoba means “let’s meet again”. Doesn’t that remind you of another Diao ye zong song…?
It was probably the hardest translation yet
(Kadsura From That Day)
Circle: 凋叶棕 (Diao ye zong)
Album: 娶 (Marriage)
dare ga maita no ka
sono na mo shiranai
Did someone plant the seeds?
I do not know their name
sore demo kono chi ni
ne wo harou to shite
Even so, they spread their roots
In this soil
soshite nagaki toki wo iza tomo ni sugosou toshitemo
Then, even if we spent this long, long time together…
dore hodo dore hodo
uchinomesarete mo
Just how, how long…
Even though they’re beaten up
sore demo iku domo
keshite akiramezu
Over and over
They never give up
sakasu sono inochi wo tada sasagu kono mi ni itto ni
negai itsu no hi ka kanau to
They bloom, offering their lives, their whole being
Praying that their wish would be granted
sou ne hajime kara wakatteita no
But now
You are not here
Right, I knew that all along
sore demo mebuita
sore ga sodatsu tabi
And yet, you bud
Each time you grow
kono chi ni ne wo haru
ano sugata no you
You spread you roots in this soil
Just like they did
keshite akiramezu ni
nanika wo se ni kanaeyou to suru sugata
And you never give up
Turning your back at something to make your wish happen
sora kara furikuru
yakusoku no namae
A promised name
Descends from the sky
bankan no omoi
sakase “sanekazura”
The flood of thoughts
Blooms with a “promise of reunion” Kadsura flower
hana wa yorishiro yadosu inochi hodo
sore wo sora kara daichi he
Flowers are the home of divine, they carry lives
Coming from heavens to this earth
ha wo ake kochira wo muki, saa hana hirake!
Open your leaves- face towards here, make the flowers bloom!
soshite ima
anata wa koko ni kaette kita
kotoshi mo mata
douka wasurenaide wasurenaide to kou you na sugata de
And now
You returned here
This year as well
Please, do not forget me! They beg
sore ga itsuka
watashi ga miorosu keshiki someagete wa
ikuta no omoi no kazu ni itaru made
And someday
The scenery I look upon will be filled with color
Filled with multitude of emotions
kono toki mo furuki toki mo koko ni kou shite
kono daichi no hate made mo umeru made
In this way, both this time moment and the ancient past are here
Burying the entirety of this Earth Gensokyo
sakase sakase nao sakase mada tarinai
sono omoi no tsuyosa wo wakarasu made
Now bloom, bloom, bloom! It’s still not enough!
Not until you proof understand the weight of those feelings!
taranu inochi no nagasa yo wasuresasenu
sou kawashita yakusoku hatasu made
I shall not let you forget the length of a dull life
Not until the promise we exchanged is fulfilled!
yukihateyo deatta ano hi no iro no mama
sakihateyo kokoro yadosu hana wo watashi ni koi nagara
At the end of your journey–just like the color of the day we met
At the end of your bloom–as long as the flowers in my heart love me
